January 2023 “Spotlight”
It has been a wonderful start to the new year. We had tons of fun hosting our bring a friend to class week and bring a parent to class week. It was great to see so much interest in dance and a lot of classes have been filling up quickly. Registration is now closed for the school year. Summer registration will open up in April. Make sure to sign up quickly because classes fill up fast.
We wanted to send a special shout out to Emilee Sjarback. She recently returned to work with us, helping with stage management for our Nutcracker and Winter Celebration productions. Emilee danced with us for 15 years, focusing mostly on Ballet, Tap, and Modern. She learned how to focus on the joy of dance at FDW, and she will always remember the many amazing long-lasting friendships made along the way. Emilie graduated AHS in 2021 and is majoring in Theater Management and Design at University of Victoria. We are so excited to see what the future holds for Emilee!

We also want to make a special shout out to all of our business sponsors this month. We really couldn’t do what we do without all of you. We have been able to provide scholarships for any kids that needed them this year. We were also able to update some costumes and equipment that was greatly needed to help facilitate the level of dance we are teaching.
