May 2023 “Spotlight”

Fidalgo DanceWorks was busy preparing for our spring show, “Living Art”. The theme of the show was art brought to life through dance. It featured inspirations from both classic and original artworks adapted by 8 area choreographers and performed by 180 dancers of all ages and levels of experience. This recital not only highlights our wonderful dancers and all the hard work they’ve put into their training this year, but also a combination of how multiple arts disciplines can inspire each other.

During the show, paintings, statues and luminaries will "come to life" through dance and movement styles that incorporate jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, tumbling, lyrical and modern dance. Thank you to the dancers, families, and staff, without whom we would not be able to put on such an excellent show for our community.
